Miami is well known for junkyards or used auto parts “Los Rastros,” These are junkyards where every mechanic goes to look for parts.

Every morning, After drinking your Cuban coffee, Colata, We grabbed the tools and head to the nearest JunkYards, now these Los rastros a place where they carry used auto parts, the cool part about it is you get to remove the part from a vehicle.

So you can practice on a daily basis removing parts, as a student in these areas I learn so much about removing parts from a vehicle due to this Lot. They do have a number, where they align the cars.

As a Miami style we get out hats and start to the field to remove the parts, once we have located a vehicle we start searching for the used autoparts we start extracting the part, and as our knowledge kicks in we start evaluating the part what condition is the part.

but mainly they are in good condition, we always left out the part that is found in a bad condition due to an accident.

How can Identified the used part that i need

That’s the easy part; as a mechanic you would need to know what part you took out of the previous vehicle, normally we bring that part to the junkyards

These process might take you an entire day, so make sure you are well hydrated because the sun is pretty intense

you will see that some cars are pretty damaged sometimes I won’t even go on those due to the part that I might be looking for might be damage as well.
