This is a blog about how I started racing cars. When you are a new driver, nobody gives you good advice. I only heard from my mom and dad. They told me that it was a dangerous profession. However, for me, it was exciting and gave me adrenaline. I couldn’t wait to start my first job and start saving money for my fixed car.
I saved up $3k. I started looking in the newspaper for a lovely Camaro. That was the best option to fix. I met with an auto parts mechanic near me. He gave me hope. He said, ” Boy I will help you start your project but you will have to work with me until we can put this thing together.”

When I finished my project, I was exhausted. It was well worth it. I started going to car shows. Eventually, a buyer approached me out of nowhere. He tells me they’ll give me 30k for my vehicle. I said no way. I loved the car but the offer was tempting. The buyer acknowledged the work done on the vehicle. He mentioned that if I didn’t want to sell, he could provide me with a mechanics number. He wanted me to help him build a project like mine. Really thinking about it now, I wanted to sell him my car. He when to his office to grab the money. It was a done deal.
Next project:
2. Mustang
It was a great ride. Many people hated it. I put 3 exhausts system and it was making crazy noises
I loved it. It was great for speed. I set up a twin Turbo. It cost me a fortune but it was worth it. I went nearly 120 miles per hour on an open road but the engine did not last long. I started breaking apart the high power. I thought this car could handle the torque but it broke completely.
3. Pontiac Firebird
Lovely car. It was vintage-like so I brought it to auctions to see if I could sell it. Nobody wanted it. There were many admirers but they said that they could not afford the vehicle. So I held on to it until a buyer in 2013 offered $45,000. I let it go.
4. Honda CRX
Well with this one I registered it to Daytona Racing. As a beginner, I got sponsored. People started looking at me as a race car driver. I had started my new career. I loved it. I kept going to the track to met new people. I started getting attention. People were asking me how I built my cars.
5. Porsche Boxster
I loved this car. The car speed was amazing! 0-60 MPH in 10 seconds. It was amazing. I loved it. People applauded me when I did my entrance on the track. I felt like a star.
